The self-narrated story of Hedwig and the Angry Inch is, at its simplest, one persons search for love and acceptance.
Possibly his most challenging role, Michael donned the red mini-dress and knee boots of main character “Hedwig Schmitt” after only a few weeks rehearsal. A far cry from Michael s natural personality, Hedwig is in turns, bitter, jaded and cruel. The challenges presented by Hedwig were repaid with rave reviews from both audiences and critics alike..
