"Michael Falzon is a remarkably energetic performer, throwing himself on his knees throughout in a true rock fashion. He has a vocal style not entirely dissimilar to that of Freddie Mercury and his range suits the material well. By the grand finale, a near mega mix of all the crowd pleasers, he has the crowd cheering and calling for more."

We Will Rock You

Michael returned to Australia in 2011 to play hair metal bad boy Stacee Jaxx in the juke box musical Rock of Ages, again following the production from its home of 7 months at the Comedy Theatre in Melbourne, to a 3 week run in Brisbanes QPAC theatre.  From playing a manipulative lothario, and stadium rocker, Michael changed gears entirely for a 4 week run in the tiny Darlinghurst theatre, dazzling audiences with an intimate portrayal of Jason in the Australian premier of Adam Gwons Ordinary Days for Squabbalogic. After appearing with over 20 of Australia's musical theatre greats for Enda Markey's Side By Side By Sondheim, Sydney concert with Ruthie Henshall - in support of the White Ribbon Association, Michael took over from Mr Markey in Side By Side By Sondheim, in the touring company, performing through parts of NSW and Vic.

Michael was born in Sydney on May 16, 1972 before growing up  in Brisbane where he began singing in the QLD Youth Choir. He began his professional career with EssGee Entertainments re-imagining of Gilbert and Sullivans Pirates of Penzance before joining the cast of Hello Dolly.  From there, he returned to EssGee as a sailor in HMS Pinafore and then the Gordon Frost Organisation touring company of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dream Coat. Michael appeared in a few short films written and directed by his friend, Abe Forsythe including the underground cult hit Computer Boy, for which he won best actor at the Melbourne Underground Film Festival, and Best Performance, Short Stuff Film Festival, before taking a minor role in Forsythe’s to-date only feature film, Ned.

"a mighty voice that soars over the thumping beat; or the manic, convulsive climax as his imperfect, near-naked body heaves and sweats and exorcises such brutal defiant rage; Falzon is utterly captivating for 90 intermission-free minutes."

Hedwig and the Angry Inch Jason Whittaker

Michael came to national prominence in 2003 when he was cast as Galileo Figaro in the first international production of the Queen/ Ben Elton musical, We Will Rock You. This was the first production directed by author Ben Elton, and toured internationally throughout 2003-2005.  Michael would later reprise this role for the UK touring company in 2009-2010. In 2008, Michael stunned audiences and critics alike with his moving portrayal of the physically and emotionally damaged Hedwig, in Showtunes season of Hedwig and the Angry Inch.

"To say that Michael nailed the role would be a gross understatement. Michaels rock tenor voice is one of the better voices heard on any theatre within Victoria."

The Production Company’s ‘CHESS: The Musical’ Andrew Dempster

From 2002 until 2009 Michael was co-owner of bespoke entertainment company SMA Production (with offices in both the UK and Australia). In 2009, while in London, Michael sold his interest in SMA and founded Good Egg Creative LTD. As Managing Director, he has been involved in the creation of several boutique entertainment packages, as well as the launch of internationally successful ELEKTRA with violin virtuoso, Jane Cho.
